Warren G and Nate Comment on "New Jack City" DVD

"New Jack City" -- the definitive urban gangster film starring Wesley Snipes, Ice-T, Chris Rock, Mario Van Peebles (who also directs) and Judd Nelson -- arrives on a "Two-Disc Special Edition" DVD August 23 from Warner Home Video. Just as cool and topical today as when it premiered in 1991, "New Jack City" updates the gangster genre with a hip-hop twist. The cutting-edge soundtrack, which includes tunes by Ice-T, Queen Latifah and 2 Live Crew, was the first ever to blend rap, pop and R&B and produced simultaneous chart-topping singles in all three categories.

The two-disc DVD is loaded with all-new bonus material including director commentary, music videos by Ice-T, Christopher Williams and Color Me Badd, an inside look at current-day Harlem and a revealing making-of featurette. The DVD also includes a documentary featuring rappers Warren G, Nate Dogg, Fab 5 Freddy and radio personalities Ed Lover (New York's Power 105) and Big Boy (Los Angeles' Power 106), sharing their favorite moments of the film. The "New Jack City Two-Disc Special Edition" DVD will be available for $26.99 SRP.

DPGC Album Actually In The Works!

Wow! This is huge...

From Mtv.com:

Another huge reconciliation to come out of the summit was Kurupt rejoining the Dogg Pound Gangsta Clique. Kurupt has been on the How the West Was One Tour with his homies Snoop, Daz and Soopafly (see "Snoop And Game Beef Up Their How The West Was One Tour"), and the entire collective has been recording a full DPGC album."It was crazy the first couple of nights," Snoop said, "but the first song that we actually laid down, Kurupt was so hard on the song, man, he was so vicious with the verse, I didn't even want to rap on it. I was like, 'I can't match him.' He came back, his blade was so sharp. It touched me in the heart to hear him like that because I could just tell he was holding back, like, 'I gotta say this but I don't have the right scenario.' It was just a great uplifting for us to put him back into the building with us. And it helped us. Now we're on the road, we're traveling, we're doing some of that classic DPG music onstage. Just to see us all up there smiling, having a good time, interacting is beautiful."

The DPGC are about seven songs into the album, and Snoop said to also look for Nate Dogg and Warren G on it. Snoop wants to put his latest group project out later this year but has not settled on a label yet.

Hush Is Coming (Full Song)

Here is the full track of the song that Nate Dogg did with Detroit rapper MC Hush for Hush's debut album "Bulletproof". "Bulletproof" was supposed to come out May 17th, but it doesn't look like that is happening. This track is unfortunately clean.

Gangsta Walk (Full, Instrumental, Accapella)

Aight, here is the full version of the song "Gangsta Walk" that Nate Dogg did for one of Damizza's mixtapes. This version is about a minute longer than the one that appeared on the mixtape. I've also included an accapella version of the song as well as the instrumental.

I used youshareit this time, since in my opinion it's the best file uploading service but it hasn't been really working all that well the past couple of days. Hopefully it will work alright from now on. If not, I'll use rapidshare again.

Gangsta Party (REAL Dirty Version)

Well yet another dirty version of this track except this time even Nate's hook is dirty. I can't really tell whether there is too big of a difference. The main thing I noticed was that he now says "let's get fucked up at this party" instead of "let's get crunk in this party". There may be more, I haven't really had time to listen to too much of it.

New Site For Summer

Hey everybody,

I will be using this site for the summer because I won't have access to my server and web files, so I'll have to blog any news that I get. I don't know how often I'll get a chance to update the site either, but hopefully that won't be too much of a problem. You can still find a link to the original version of the site on the right hand side of the screen.
